5. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own via third-party services.
Our third-party service providers (e.g., Google Firebase) have servers located in the United States and other countries. We do not operate our own servers. Regardless of your location, your information may be transferred to, stored by, and processed by these third parties in the United States and other countries. If you are a resident in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, such countries may not have the same data protection laws as your country, but we take measures to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.
European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses: We have implemented measures to protect your personal information, including by using the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information between us and our third-party providers (e.g., Google). These clauses require all recipients to protect personal information originating from the EEA or UK in accordance with European data protection laws. Our Data Processing Agreements that include Standard Contractual Clauses are available here: https://cloud.google.com/terms/data-processing-addendum. Further details can be provided upon request.
6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Analytics data collected via Firebase is retained in accordance with Google's data retention policies. User-created content stored locally on your device is not accessible to us; you may delete it at any time by using the App.
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process via third-party services. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records (note: user-created content on your device is not accessible to us, but we will delete any analytics data we may have inadvertently received). If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at jinh14050@gmail.com.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. Note: Because we do not maintain user accounts nor store your content on our servers, your ability to review, update, or delete your content must be exercised directly within the App on your device.
In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) if applicable, to data portability; and (v) not to be subject to automated decision-making. To exercise these rights, please contact us at jinh14050@gmail.com. However, please note that we do not have access to the content you store locally on your device; therefore, any request to delete such content must be performed by you within the App.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at jinh14050@gmail.com.
10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
